This deck is built around a unique carryover interaction between Ale of the Ancestors and Meditating Mage. When a Mage is infused, the Ale's infusion persist into future rounds, allowing you to develop a long-term value engine that scales across the entire match. The core game plan is to establish infused Meditating Mages early and allow them to accumulate infusions over time without immediate overcommitment. Once a Mage has reached sufficient setup, it is converted into a major win condition through targeted boosts from Golden Froth and Mahakam Ale. This timing-based approach ensures resources are spent at maximum efficiency rather than being used prematurely. If the Meditating Mage plan is disrupted or less effective in a given matchup, the deck can pivot into an alternative win condition built around Students that establish powerful Alumni finishers. This gives the list strong flexibility, with both a slow-scaling carryover engine and a traditional Mage payoff package. Success with this deck depends heavily on sequencing and patience, as identifying when a Mage has reached the right level of infusion to convert into points is often the key decision that determines the outcome of the game.
