I've only recently returned to Gwent after about 5 and a half years, but this deck seems as good as it ever was, if not better now that Red Haze is down to 4 provisions. It's a pretty straightforward control deck that takes advantage of Madoc to get extra value out of its bombs, while outmuscling some factions at low cost with Portal, Megascope, and the naturally large Skellige witchers.
In round one, it's best to go big while doing a bit of thinning; Portal is a great lead, and Avallac'h: Sage helps with consistency. Megascopes work well after this, and a bomb to thin Madoc is good. You can play pretty aggressively here and don't mind a long round one so you get more play off your Adrenaline witchers in later rounds. Playing out or going down a card is not the end of the world, but try to save Heatwave and Geralt: Quen.
Even if you're down a card, it's often best to keep up the aggression in round two. Raging Bear or Greatswords with megascopes is great here, as is Svalblod Totem if you aren't down cards. It's best to save control pieces for round three, but because your units are pretty big on their own, you can often bleed well without much commitment. Nevertheless, you DON'T want to fall behind on cards for the last round, so err on the side of caution unless going for the 2-0.
Round three, the deck shifts into heavy control. You typically want a short round three where you answer threats with Geralts, Hjalmar and Heatwave and close out with Geralt: Quen into Bear Witcher.
It's important to be careful with mulligans; there are quite a few cards you do not want in your hand. Bear Witcher Adepts and Madoc are much better when you can pull them from deck, and you usually want to keep a Bear Witcher in the deck for Quen. That said, it's usually still worth it to mulligan aggressively for Portal. Mask of Uroboros can help even draws by discarding Madoc, but be careful to play Portal first so you don't draw the Bear Witcher Adepts. Selective Mutation can also help.
I haven't made many changes from how the deck used to be, but Aerondight looks great. Geralt: Yrden, Maxii van Dekkar and Bearification are definite considerations.
