Used Cursed Scroll to draw for Oneiromancy. If you have it, draw for Haunt, if you have both draw for Viy. If you have all 3, use this as an extra tutor and draw for Viy after your first use. If you use Haunt Round 2, do not play Viy on the ranged row immediately after if you have a Toad in the graveyard. Tutors: Do not tutor for tutors. Always try to pull Viy. Use Ihuarraquax to either pull an opponent's win condition out of their deck round 1, or save it for round 3 when it won't pull anything of theirs. Save Naglfar for when you have Last Wish in your hand and you're thinner on golds and have a good chance of drawing Viy. Alternatively you can use it as the last tutor in a round so that your first draw is the second gold it pulled. Follow up with Last Wish to draw the top card. Use Prince Villem later in the game to avoid wasting tutors. This card draws a random gold, which will ideally be Viy. For example, if there's 2 tutors and Viy left in your deck, there is only a 33% chance of pulling correctly and a 66% chance of throwing away what's potentially half of your remaining points available to be pulled. Miscellaneous: Toads act as carry over consumes. Their effect takes place from the graveyard, and units are purified when they enter the graveyard, so don't worry about purifying their locks. Pellar can remove doomed from a toad and allow it to trigger again. Wererat is an infinite consume on any unit placed to its right, but be careful not to overcommit on one unit as one removal card will end your tempo. In most cases, save Spores for a late game win condition. Use Wild Hunt Rider as a throw away early in the round to thin if you're stuck with it in your hand. Squirrel high value Echo cards. Save your hero ability for emergency situations. Do not be afraid to use Arcane Tome. You will almost always benefit more from it. You can also alternatively replace Arcane Tome with Troll Porter to suit your playstyle. Alternatively, trade Barghest for Witch Apprentice. Enjoy being a toxic Viy player in 2025. PS: I have tried different variations of this deck which remove Last Wish, Barghest, and Barbegazi and include Heatwave and another set of 4p thinners. Both options are viable and it's dependent on your opponent which variation performs better.
